Guangdong Province is a large province of waterfowl breeding and consumption. Affected by the COVID??19,Guangdong’s waterfowl industry has faced severe challenges. This paper is aiming at the problems of the waterfowl industry in Guangdong,such as lack of scientific planning,insufficient investment in research and development,small industrial scale and environmental constraints lack of development and utilization of variety resources and high costs for disease prevention and control. This paper analyzes the current situation of waterfowl industry and proposes to improve the technical system of waterfowl industry. optimize the industrial layout,cultivate leading enterprises,improve the added value of products and strengthen the construction of epidemic prevention system. create a good environment,improve the market competitiveness and provide reference for the sustainable and healthy development of waterfowl industry.

By measuring and manually scoring the intramuscular fat of lean ternary hybrid pigs,Tianlu black pigs,Xiaoerhua pigs,Yuedong Black pigs,and Tibetan pigs,the intramuscular fat of local pig breeds and lean pig breeds was explored. and marbling scores. 80 lean ?meat ternary hybrid pigs,48 Tianlu black pigs,Xiaoerhua pigs, Yuedong black pigs,and Tibetan pigs(8 pigs each)were used as test materials for the determination of carcass bodyweight,eye muscle area and intramuscular fat. Manual scoring was performed using the American NPPC standard colorimetric card,and after taking the average,bioinformatics methods were used to explore its correlation. This experimental study found that the intramuscular fat distribution of lean pigs is more uniform,the fat cells of local pig breeds are evenly distributed among the muscle fibers,the muscle fiber gap of lean pigs is small,and the distribution of fat cells in the muscle is relatively concentrated. The marbling scoring method is suitable for the simple and rapid evaluation of the intramuscular fat content of lean pigs,but it is not suitable for the evaluation criteria of the intramuscular fat content of all local pig breeds.

Newcastle disease is an infectious disease that must be controlled and eradicated in China. In order todays after immunization,the average HI titer of serum collected from rLa ?mGM inactivated vaccine and commercial LaSota vaccine was 7.6log2 and 7.4log2,respectively. These results indicates that the recombinant virus is immunogenic and can be used as a vaccine candidate strain. generate antigen ? matched vaccine,the main antigenic ? related fusion and hemagglutinin ? neuraminidase genes of LaSota vaccine strain were replaced by those genes of GM strain belonging to genotype Ⅶ,and the recombinant virus rLa ? mGM was obtained by virus rescue. Biological characteristics of rLa ? mGM showed that the MDT of the recombinant strain was 160 h,the ICPI was 0,and the EID50 was 10-8.4 /0.2 mL. In this study,Eimeria tenella YuFu(ETYF strain)was isolated from a broiler farm in YuFu city,Guangdong Province. The methods of animal passage,microscopy,and PCR were used to identify Eimeria tenella. Coccidia ETYF species and its biological characteristics such as minimum prepatent period,oocyst excretion pattern,pathogenicity,and pathogenicity were monitored. The results showed that the minimum prepatent period could be continuously monitored 144 hours after the chickens were infected with ETYF strains of coccidia;Among them,the ET?3 group(30000 piece/ bird dose)had the highest peak at 168~174 hours after infection with ETYF,and the total number of oocyst excretion reached the largest during this period,reaching as high as about 14.47 million piece /dose. The optimal inoculation dose was 10000?30000 piece /bird dose;dead chickens appeared in ET?5 (50,000 piece /bird dose)and ET? 10(100,000 piece /bird dose),and the pathogenicity dose was 5.0×104 piece /bird dose. This study provides data support for subsequent drug screening and vaccine development. which has certain significance for the control of chicken coccidiosis.

In order to evaluate the efficacy of a Chinese herbal compound on Microsporum canis infection inefficacy yielded a non ? significant difference with terbinafine treatment. This study showed that the Chinese herbal compound had significant therapeutic effects on experimental rabbits infected with Microsporum canis,which can provide experimental data and theoretical basis for the use of a combination of Chinese and Western medicines in the treatment of dermatophytosis in animals in the pet clinic. rabbits,a Microsporum canis infection model of rabbit skin was developed for different treatments. The rabbits were divided into blank control group(K),model control group(M),herbal compound treatment group(CM)and terbinafine treatment group(T). Chicken is one of the main sources of meat protein with gradually increased proportion in the national meat consumption,therefore consumers are paying more attention to the meat quality. Influenced by the COVID pandemic and bird flu,the market of frozen chicken products is increasing. However,the quality of frozen chicken products generally declines significantly over time. Therefore,breeding researchers not only pay attention to improving broiler production performance,but also study meat quality improvement strategies in large ?? scale production. According to previous studies,the evaluation and detection methods of chicken meat quality varied between reports,yielding inconsistent results. In order to provide references and basic data for building the chicken meat quality evaluation system and the improvement of chicken quality,the evaluation methods (e.g.,physical indicators, chemical composition and sensory evaluation),detection index(e.g.,pH value,meat color,tenderness,water holding capacity,composition of amino acids and fatty acids),and the influencing factors(e.g.,breed,age,feed composition,management,pre??slaughter stress)of chicken meat quality were summarized in this paper.

Tuberculosis is a chronic infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Due to the lack of effective treatment drugs,tuberculosis is still widespread in the world,seriously endangering people's health. The BCG vaccine(Mycobacterium Bovis bacilli Calmette ?Guérin,BCG)is the only TB vaccine currently registered for humans,although BCG can create resistance to TB in children,it cannot effectively prevent tuberculosis in adults and the elderly. And with the increase of drug?resistant strains and HIV mixed infection,it is urgent to develop a safer and more effective vaccine than BCG. This article provides a review of the immune mechanisms of tuberculosis,the shortcomings of BCG,and the research progress for candidate tuberculosis vaccines.

Infection with Pm in cattle,sheep,pigs,rabbits,and otherlivestock can cause hemorrhagic septicemia and infectious pneumonia,causing huge economic losses to the livestock and poultry farming industry. At present,the prevention and control of Pm disease is mainly through the vaccination of livestock with attenuated Pm vaccine and inactivated vaccine,but because Pm has different serotypes,the immune protection of Pm vaccine on animals is less than ideal. Infectious Bronchitis (IB) is an acute,highly contagious upper respiratory disease caused by Infectious Bronchitis Virus(IBV),which leads to a variety of symptoms such as tracheitis,nephritis,oviductitis, glandular gastritis and reduced egg quality in chickens,seriously affecting the economic benefits of chicken farming are seriously affected. In order to investigate the main causes and infection of chicken Transmissible viral proventriculitis (TVP)in the eastern Guangdong,490 samples of diseased chicken were dissected and tested for relevant viruses at ten in one. Our results showed that the disease causing chicken infectious virus gonaditis in this area was mainly immunosuppressive disease. The major pathogen included chicken infectious anemia virus with a highest infection rate of 53.1%(26/49),and Marek's disease virus ranked second with 28.6%(14/49). In addition,the detection rate of Reticuloendotheliosis virus and Circovirus type 3 virus was 14.3%(7/49),but other viruses (e.g.,avian infectious bronchitis virus) were not detected. Our research indicated that the virus causing immunosuppressive diseases may be the main factor of TVP in the eastern Guangdong. The susceptible infection age of chicken TVP was from 28 to 92 days,the infection period was common in summer,autumn,but rare in spring. This is a systematic research on the main cause and infection situation of chicken TVP in the eastern Guangdong,and it will provide guidance for avain TVP prevention and control in this area.

The emerging novel H5N8 subtype of avian influenza is highly pathogenic and exerts a major threat to the poultry industry. Strengthening monitoring is an important means to prevent and control avian influenza. With the improvement of the biosafety level in the industry,disinfectants have been widely used in various production procedures. How these substances affect the detection results of the current common fluorescent RT ??PCR method is rarely reported. In this paper,simulated samples were used to study the effects of disinfectants(i.e.,quicklime, caustic soda,sodium dichloroisocyanate,and glutaraldehyde),detergents(i.e.,washing powder and detergent), protectants(i.e.,glycerol and cephalosporin),and environmental pollutants on the detection results of fluorescent RT?? PCR. Compared with the corresponding positive control samples,disinfectants had a very significant impact on thedetection results. Samples treated with 0.5% quicklime and 0.25% caustic soda could not be detected as positive. Sodium dichloroisocyanate of conventional concentration increased CT value by 10.29 to 10.61,and glutaraldehyde increased CT value by 4.77 to 12.68. Neutralization measures for samples containing alkaline disinfectants could improve the test results. Other detergents,sample protectants and dirt had certain impacts on CT value,but the differences were not significant. The results shows that conventional disinfectants have an impact on the detection results of fluorescent RT??PCR. Attention should be paid especially in the evaluation of disinfection effect.

Canine hip dysplasia is one of the more common clinical hereditary diseases. Treatment methods include conventional conservative treatment and surgical operations such as three pelvic incisions and total hip replacement. Considering various factors,some pet owners will choose total hip replacement surgery as the final choice,and are also eager to find a treatment method between conventional conservative treatment and total hip replacement surgery. In recent years,breakthroughs in the basic theory of acupuncture and moxibustion have brought acupuncture and moxibustion medicine to an unprecedented new height. This article takes a case of hip dysplasia in a golden retriever as an example to comprehensively introduce the diagnosis and treatment process of traditional Chinese veterinary acupuncture and moxibustion,so as to provide veterinarians clinical use of traditional acupuncture and moxibustion. It provides new ideas for the treatment of canine hip dysplasia,and opens up a new situation for the treatment of canine hip dysplasia in multiple,multi?form,and multi?channel ways.

As the demand for beef,lamb and milk increases,the recent years have witnessed opportunities of development for the cattle and sheep breeding industry,which is also facilitated by supportive policy of the government. This paper aims to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the cattle and sheep industry in South China, and to seek possible solutions to enhance the situation based on solid analyses. As per our examination,the strengths include the access to an enormous market,rich grazing resources,quality local breeds,and strong policy support. Theweaknesses include the rather large proportion and low quality of small??scale farms,serious problems with feed supply large??scale farms are facing,climate related difficulties in disease prevention,productivity and forage storage,low breed quality,and an incomplete industrial chain. Solutions were offered in this paper as well. The industry should encourage large??scale farming companies to incorporate with business sectors both up and down the industrial chain. Leading companies could benefit from provide financial support and technical services for small farms. Cooperation may be built between research institutes and farming companies to promote technologies.

Feline lower urinary tract disease is a general term for various diseases involved with the urinary bladder and urethra in cats. Through the study and analysis of three cases of feline lower urinary tract syndrome,this report reflected and summarized the diagnostics,treatment and prognosis,and focused on the comparison of the therapeutic effect of exclusive use and combination use of CYSTAIDPLUS and Bazheng powder respectively. Epilepsy,or“Xian Disease”in Traditional Chinese Medicine,is one of the common neurological diseases. Traditional Chinese Medicine theory believes that the onset of epilepsy is often associated with the liver wind,so most of the time the liver treatment is elected which calms the liver wind and harmonize bodyand Qi. Bupleurum chinese DC. and Gastrodia elata Bl. are two kinds of traditional Chinese medicine commonly used in the treatment of epilepsy. The active ingredients of Bupleurum chinense DC have been suspected to conduct anti?epileptic effect by changing the intracellular ion concentration through multiple pathways,including regulating the secretion of neurotransmitters and significantly increasing the content of ATP by regulating the presynaptic calcium ion pathway. The active ingredients of Gastrodia elata Bl. can effectively change the pathological state of epilepsy by protecting neurons in the hippocampus, inhibiting inflammation in the hippocampus and regulating the secretion ofneurotransmitters. In this paper,the antiepileptic effect of these two Traditional Chinese Medicine was reviewed to provide references for clinical treatment and drug development for canine epilepsy.

Gallbladder mucocele is a gallbladder disease with abnormal accumulation of large amount of mucus in the gallbladder,which makes the gallbladder expand. The main clinical manifestations are vomiting and diarrhea. In this paper,the case of a 14 ? year?old Pomeranian dog with gallbladder mucocele was reported. The dogs was presented with symptoms of vomiting and decreased appetite. Blood biochemical exam showed the total bilirubin and alanine aminotransferase increased significantly. B ?mode ultrasonography showed typical sonographic features of gallbladder mucocele.The image features of DR exam are not typical. According to the results of clinical examination,blood cell examination,biochemical examination,and imaging examination,gallbladder mucocele was diagnosed. After a week of rehydration therapy,anti ? inflammatory medication and liver and gallbladder protectant treatment,the dog recovered. Oral medication was then prescribed. Follow?up visit showed no further conditions.

This paper reported a case of chronic epistaxis and nasal swelling in a 9 ? year ? old female golden retriever,which was successfully cured by syndrome differentiation and treatment with the methods of invigorating qi and regulating blood,removing dampness and resolving phlegm under the guideline of traditional Chinese veterinary theory. It shows that Traditional Chinese veterinary medicine has a good effect in the treatment of intractable epistaxis. The summary and analysis of the case can provide reference for diagnosis and treatment of similar diseases.

Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is a cardiac disease with highest incidence rate in cats. It has no obvious symptoms in the early stage and is easily ignored by the owner. Once symptoms appeared,it often has poor prognosis. This paper reports a case of hypertrophic cardiomyopathy in a mix breed cat. With the medical history and results of clinical examination,hematological examination,X ? ray and cardiac ultrasound,hypertrophic cardiomyopathy was diagnosed. After 1 week of comprehensive treatment,which includes oxygen therapy,cardiac load reduction, thrombosis prevention and nutritional support treatment,the cat’s condition was stabilized.
