1. Scope of Publication
Regular columns of the journal include Scientific and Technological Frontiers, Industry Trends, Reviews, Animal Husbandry Technology, Veterinary Clinics, and Experimental Research.
Submitted manuscripts should present a clear research focus, sound arguments, sufficient evidence, accurate data, and concise, well-structured writing. All submissions must comply with relevant national laws and regulations and must not involve any state secrets.
For word limit, review and research papers should be up to 8,000 Chinese characters; articles under other columns such as Animal Husbandry Technology, up to 5,000 Chinese characters.
2. Manuscript Format
Manuscripts should include the following elements in order: Title, author name(s), author affiliation(s) (including institution name, city, and postal code), author biography, abstract, keywords, introduction, main text, and references.

3. Title
The title should be concise and specific, generally not exceeding 20 Chinese characters. An English title should also be provided.
(1) Chinese title: Song typeface, size 3, bold.
(2) English title: Times New Roman, size 3, bold.
4. Author Affiliations and Footnotes
Authors' names should be listed in the order of contribution, separated by commas. For authors from different institutions, use superscript numerals “1”, “2”, “3”, etc., after each author's name to indicate corresponding affiliations.
The institution names should be written in full, without abbreviations, followed by the province/city and postal code. When there are multiple affiliations, each should be preceded by the corresponding superscript number and separated by semicolons. The corresponding author should be marked with an asterisk (*).

The footnote on the first page should include: ① Funding information, specifying the funding program name and grant number; ② Brief introduction for both the first author and corresponding author, including name, gender, year of birth, professional title, research field, and email address.

5. Abstract and Keywords
The abstract should be concise and informative, summarizing the objective, methods, results, and conclusions of the study. It should be 300–500 Chinese characters in length, written in Song typeface, size 4.
Provide 4–8 keywords, separated by semicolons, in Song typeface, size 4.
Both the abstract and keywords must be provided in Chinese and English. The English version should be formatted in Times New Roman, size 4.
6. Main Text
Chinese text should be written in Song typeface, size 4, while numbers and English words should use Times New Roman, size 4.
Paragraph formatting: justified alignment, first-line indent of two characters, and 1.5 line spacing.
Use an en dash “–” to indicate numerical ranges.
(1) Headings: Level 1 and Level 2 headings should be in bold; Level 3 headings should have bold numbering only. All headings are left-aligned and occupy a separate line, written in Song typeface, size 4.
① Level 1 headings: “1”, “2”, “3”
② Level 2 headings: “1.1”, “1.2”, “1.3”
③ Level 3 headings: “1.1.1”, “1.1.2”, “1.1.3”
(2) Introduction: The Introduction should not include numbering or a heading. It should briefly explain the research background and significance, summarize the current state of research, identify existing problems, and describe the key issues addressed in the study. The length should be approximately 300 characters.
(3) Materials and Methods: This section should describe the experimental design, data analysis methods, and details about the animals, drugs, instruments, or reagents used, including their sources, batch numbers, and specifications. Headings should not exceed three levels.
(4) Results (or Results and Analysis): Results should be presented clearly and logically, accurately reflecting the experimental findings. Avoid duplicating information already shown in figures or tables. Headings should not exceed three levels.
(5) Discussion: The Discussion should focus on the novel findings, conclusions, and perspectives of the study. Arguments should be clear and concise, emphasizing the key contributions. Generally, no more than three heading levels are used.
(6) Conclusion: Provide a concise and well-organized summary of the main findings of the study.
(7) Acknowledgements: This section is optional. If acknowledgements are included, authors should obtain consent from the individuals or organizations being acknowledged.
(8) Figures and Tables:
① Figure and table titles should be in Song typeface, size 5, and bold. Content within figures and tables should be in a smaller font (size 5 or small size 5).
② Figures and tables should be numbered separately. They should appear after their textual mentions, such as “as shown in Fig. 1”, “(Fig. 1)”, “see Table 2”, “(Table 2)”.
③ Each figure and table must have a title. Figure titles appear below the figure, and table titles appear above the table.
④ Notes should appear below figures and tables, beginning with “Note: …”. For figures, the note should appear above the title.
⑤ Image resolution should be at least 300 dpi.
⑥ Tables should be formatted as three-line tables. Auxiliary lines may be added if necessary. Decimal places should be consistent within a table. Use “—” to indicate missing data and “0” for zero values.
(9) Ethical Statement: For studies involving animal experiments, authors must obtain approval from the relevant ethics committee. The manuscript must include a statement confirming compliance with the committee's animal welfare guidelines and provide the approval number. A copy of the ethics approval document must also be submitted to the editorial office for verification.
7. References
Chinese text should be in Song typeface, size 4, and English text should be in Times New Roman, size 4.
(1) References should be cited in the text in superscript and in order of appearance, placed before punctuation marks. For example: …... consistent with previous findings [1].
When citing multiple references, use “[2–3]” for consecutive sources and “[1–3,5]” for nonconsecutive ones.
(2) All cited references must be listed at the end of the manuscript, in the same numerical order as they appear in the main text.
(3) When there are more than three authors, list only the first three followed by “et al.” for English references or “等” for Chinese references.
(4) A minimum of 12 references is required. Authors are encouraged to cite recent studies, with at least 30% of the references published within the last five years.
(5) Avoid citing secondary sources; all references should be based on original works personally consulted by the author.
(6) Journal names must be written in full, with each word capitalized. For foreign authors, both the surname and initials should be in uppercase; for Chinese authors, the surname precedes the given name in English transliteration. Punctuation in references should use full-width symbols. For issue numbers that are single digits, omit the leading zero, such as “(6)” instead of “(06)”.
(7) Reference Formats:

8. Quantities and Units
All quantities and units should be written in accordance with the legal measurement units of China and relevant international standards. The same quantity should use consistent symbols throughout the text, including the main body, figures, and tables.
There should be a single space between the numerical value and its unit (e.g., 75 kg).
Obsolete unit symbols should not be used, such as “小时”, “公斤”, “公尺”, “斤”, “亩”, “卡”, “ppm”, “M”, and “大卡/千克”. Instead, use the following correct symbols: h, kg, m, m2, J, mg/kg, mol/L, mL, MJ/kg, etc.
Common expressions should also follow standardized formats. For example, “15 mL/每只” should be written as “每只15 mL” (i.e., 15 mL per animal).
Note that no space should be left between numbers and symbols for percentages (e.g., 10%).
9. Other Formatting Requirements
All Chinese text should be in Song typeface, and all English text in Times New Roman. Numerical values should be written in Arabic numerals. Data ranges should be connected by an en dash, such as 20–30 kg or 23%–35%.
10. Submission Method
Only online submissions are accepted. Hard-copy or email submissions are not accepted. To submit your manuscript, please visit the homepage of our official website (http://www.gdxmsykj.com/EN/1005-8567/home.shtml) and click the “Author Login” button in the “Office Online” section on the right-hand side.
First-time authors must register before submission. Please provide your real name, institutional affiliation, detailed postal address, phone number, postal code, and email address during registration for contact purposes.
11. Important Notes
(1) Manuscripts should be submitted only through the official website of the journal. Beware of fraudulent websites.
(2) Manuscripts that do not conform to the journal's formatting requirements will be returned for revision before proceeding to further review.
(3) Authors bear full responsibility for the content of their manuscripts. The editorial office reserves the right to revise and process manuscripts as necessary. Authors are responsible for maintaining confidentiality and avoiding infringement. If a case of multiple submissions is found, the editorial office reserves the right to seek compensation for any loss incurred. Plagiarism of entire papers or sections will result in legal liability.
(4) The journal is indexed by several databases as a source journal. Unless otherwise declared, submission implies consent to such inclusion.
(5) Authors will be notified of the review results within three months of submission.
(6) Article Processing Charge (APC): For accepted manuscripts, an APC of CNY 400 per page will be charged. For color printing, an additional CNY 150 per page will apply. No other fees are charged to authors.
