In recent years，with the rapid development of the pet industry in China，the number of pet hospitals is increasing，and pet medical talents have been in short supply. However，the proportion of college veterinary graduates choosing to engage in pet clinical diagnosis and treatment is very low. Therefore，the discussion mainly focused on the better training of pet medical talents majored in veterinary medicine in colleges and universities. Three aspects were addressed，including how to strengthen the clinical teaching，guide veterinary students to be actively involved in learning，and encourage veterinary students to take the initiative to intern and work at veterinary clinics. With more veterinary graduates choosing a career in pet clinical diagnosis and treatment，a healthy，stable，and sustainable development of the industry in pet clinical diagnosis and treatment will be promoted in China.

With the improvement of living standards and the change of family structure，people's demand for pet dogs is increasing. In the domestic pet dog market，many people prefer dog breeds from abroad，instead of Chinese native dogs. China is rich in dog breed resources，but due to the lack of systematic conservation research，many excellent Chinese native dog breeds no longer existed. Pet food is the high ?end animal food between human and traditional livestock and poultry feed. This paper starts with the difficulties in the development of the pet food industry，then summarizes the research progress of alternative protein resources，processing technology and product diversity in pet food，and analyzes the problem of protein shortage in pet food raw materials. Feline Infectious Peritonitis（FIP）is a fatal viral infectious disease common in felines. With the increase in cat population and the impact of COVID ? 19 epidemic，people pay more and more attention to FIP. Although many scholars have studied FIP，so far there is still no reliable diagnostic method and programmatic treatment scheme for the disease. Therefore，this paper made a comprehensive review on the clinical signs，diagnosis and treatment，and immunity and prevention of FIP，so as to provide reference and guidance for the clinical diagnosis， treatment and prognosis of FIP.

The current paper reviewed sublingual immunotherapy （SLIT） methods for treating pet allergic diseases from four aspects，including an overview of SLIT in human and veterinary medicine，its mechanism and application in veterinary clinic，and a summary of treatment schemes. Canine and feline mesenchymal stem cells（MSCs）have the potential of self ? renewal and multi ? directional differentiation，and are increasingly used in the treatment of pet diseases. In recent years，the use of Traditional Chinese medicine in the pet clinical industry has been recognized and praised by more and more pet physicians，especially when western medicine has no obvious curative effect or large side effects. Traditional Chinese medicine has gradually become a hot spot in pet clinical medicine. Therefore，this article started from the perspective of the relationship between Traditional Chinese medicine and immune function，and summarized the application status of Traditional Chinese medicine to enhance pet immune function through three parts：the improvement of the immune function of sick pets，the pet application of Chinese medicine additive in preventive care and the effect of Chinese medicine on pet vaccine immunization. This paper also summarized the problems faced by Traditional Chinese medicine in the clinical application of pets，and put forward some suggestions for the development of Traditional Chinese medicine for pets in the future，which provided a reference for the clinical application of Chinese medicine in pets.

In recent years，phenomena such as the rapid expansion of chain hospitals，and the competition of technical personnel and product price for grabbing customers，has caused the increased operating costs of pet hospitals，while the growth of revenue has slowed down with declined overall profit. Therefore，operators are seeking ways to increase revenue through various channels. This paper aims to logically analyze the revenue growth of pet hospitals from different aspects，including positioning，stage goals，underlying logic of revenue growth，growth model，and the corresponding methodology. Only by mastering this logic，can we explore the constant in all changes and grasp the essence of various problems，so as to develop appropriate strategies to achieve effective and sustainable growth of pet hospitals' revenue. The current review can provide reference on revenue growth strategy for pet hospital operators.

The palatability is one of the important criteria to measure the success of pet food. Different breeds of pets or the pet at different developmental stages have different palatabilities. Animal factors cannot be ignored in the study of palatability. The special habits of dogs and cats will also affect their palatability choices in food intake，such as differences in the intake of fat，protein and carbohydrates. At present，the conditioned reflex method，the single ? bowl method and the double ? bowl method are commonly used to evaluate the palatability. While evaluating palatability，the conditioned reflex method focuses more on improving the animals’poor feeding habits. The single ? bowl method and the double ?bowl method directly compare the amount of food intake to evaluate the palatability. In recent years，new methods of using electronic devices have also emerged. These electronic devices can monitor a range of biological indicators in feeding animals to assess palatability. This paper summarizes the commonly used palatability evaluation methods for dog and cat pet food and expounds its characteristics，so as to provide a reference for the subsequent research and development of dog and cat pet food.

Effects of canned staple food supplementation on feeding behavior blood indexes and hair health of pet cats

This experiment was conducted to study the effects of supplementary feeding of canned staple food on feeding ability，blood index and coat health of pet cats，in order to provide scientific basis for healthy diet of pet cats. Fourteen healthy Linqing lioncats aged 1 to 2 years old were randomly divided into two groups，seven cats in each group. One group was fed with pet puffed dry food and supplemented with canned pet staple food（supplemented with canned staple food group），and the other group was just fed with pet puffed dry food. The experiment lasted for 20 days. The results showed as follows ：（1）Compared to the dry food group，the energy intake of dietary canned staple food group was significantly decreased（P < 0.05）. Supplementation with canned food significantly increased total water intake（P < 0.05）.（2）Compared to the dry food group，the digestibility of dry matter，organic matter and crude protein in canned diet group was significantly increased（P < 0.05）.（3）The erythrocyte content，hemoglobin，hematocrit and blood glucose levels in supplemented with canned staple food group were significantly higher than those in dry diet group（P < 0.05），while the mean platelet hematocrit was significantly lower than that in dry diet group （P < 0.05）.（4）Supplementation of canned staple food has no significant effect on coat health.

Eighty 6?month?old poodle puppies were randomly divided into 8 groups（groups A to H）according to the principle of similar body weight，with 10 dogs in each group. The poodle puppies in group A were fed with based diet，the poodle puppies in group B to H were fed with based diet plus inactivated Lactobacillus acidophilus，Bacillus coagulans，plant Lactobacillus，mixture of inactivated Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bacillus coagulans，mixture of inactivated Lactobacillus acidophilus and plant Lactobacillus，mixture of Bacillus coagulans and plant Lactobacillus， mixture of inactivated Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bacillus coagulans and plant Lactobacillus，respectively. The pre? feeding period was 7 days and the test period was 30 days. The results were as follows：1）With no difference in daily feed intake，the average daily gain of puppies was different among groups（P < 0.05），and the dogs in group H was significantly higher than those in the control group and the other six experimental groups（P < 0.05），except for group D（P > 0.05）；2）There was a highly significant difference in fecal score among all groups（P < 0.01）. The lowest fecal score and no dilute defecation were found in group B，group H and group G；3）The fecal lactobacillus content in groups C，E and H continued to increase，and group H had the largest increase and the highest content；4）The apparent digestibility of crude protein in group D was significantly higher than that in groups C，F and G（P < 0.05）， and highly significantly higher than that in groups A and H（P < 0.01）. In conclusion，the combination of threeprobiotics can significantly promote the growth and development of poodle puppies，improve intestinal health and promote the proliferation of intestinal lactobacillus.

This paper analyzed the general situation of the global pet market and the development history of pet market in China，and compared the consumption rate of various types of pet products by different groups in different cities across China. Taking the Tmall e?commerce platform as an example，the market overview of pet health products was analyzed. The results showed that from June 2018 to June 2020，the number of visitors increased from less than 2 million per month to about 5.3 million per month. Cat hair ball products and probiotics were the mostly demanded. Thisindicate that people are paying increased attention to pet health and the market of pet health products in China is booming.

To investigate the hygienic and nutritional indicators of puffed cat food of different brands and prices on the market，and to study the relationship between them and the price of the product. Referring to the "Pet Feed Hygiene Regulations" and the national standard GB/T 31217?2014，this study sampled 48 types of puffed cat food of different brands and prices sold on mainstream e ? commerce platforms，and tested its 29 health indicators and 8 nutrition items. indicators and perform correlation analysis. The results showed that the hygienic indicators of puffed cat food in my country were generally good，but the chromium content of two samples exceeded the standard seriously， and the cyanide content of one sample was close to the limit requirement of 50 mg/kg. The test results of nutrients found that the qualified rates of crude protein content，crude fat content，crude fiber content，ash content and taurinecontent were 89.6% ，97.9% ，91.7% ，87.5% ，and 97.9% ，respectively. This result shows that some pet feed manufacturers still need to work hard in compliance with nutritional indicators. The relevant analysis shows that there is a certain risk of cat food with too low price of puffed cat food on the market.

Feline triaditis refers to a comprehensive disease in which cats have concurrent pancreatitis， cholangitis and inflammatory bowel disease. The pancreas，cholecyst and biliary system，and intestine are anatomically and functionally associated，affecting each other when inflammation occurs，which leads to the occurrence of triaditis. The diagnosis of triaditis is challenging due to the lack of specific clinical symptoms and reliable laboratory test results. This article provided a thorough overview of the putative etiopathpgenesis and clinical manifestation of feline triaditis. Histopathological feature，relative clinical significance and difficulties inherent in making these diagnoses were discussed，and recommendations on how best to treat and manage these conditions were given in order to provide reference for peers.

Feline idiopathic cystitis（FIC）is a common disease in cats. There are still many controversies about its diagnosis and treatment. This manuscript reviewed the latest research and clinical cases on the pathogenesis， diagnosis，and treatment of FIC in recent years. The use of sedatives，antispasmodics，analgesics，anti?inflammatory drugs，and antibiotics has gradually become a consensus in the treatment of FIC. Meanwhile，some traditional procedures such as catheterization are increasingly being criticized. In addition，the application of multiple etiologies， multimodal environment optimization （MEMO） strategies and prescribed diets for lower urinary tract disease is recommended for the long ?term management of FIC. Collectively，this review will provide useful information for the treatment of FIC at veterinary clinics.

Idiopathic epilepsy is the most common chronic disease of nervous system in dogs. In recent years， clinical cases of canine idiopathic epilepsy is increasing，but some pet doctors are still unclear about the concept and research progress of canine idiopathic epilepsy，and there is gap between domestic and foreign research on the diagnosis and treatment of canine idiopathic epilepsy. Aromatic plant therapy has been widely used in the auxiliary treatment of human diseases. Correspondingly，it can be applied to pet dogs and cats，and further research is required to determine its true effects. By collecting research papers and case reports，this paper studied the development of aromatherapy，major active components of aromatic plants，the mechanism of function，and the application and prospects of aromatherapy in pet cats and dogs. Chemical composition and intake route of aromatic essential oil was explored. Categorized effects of aromatherapy and precautions of use were also included and analyzed through case studies. Collectively，the current review provides a reference for the development and application of aromatherapy in the pet industry in our country.

In pet clinical practice，pet diseases caused by bacterial infection are extremely common. The application of traditional therapy using broad ? spectrum antibiotics not only brings convenience but also leads to the emergence of drug ? resistant bacteria. Therefore，this article mainly reviewed several categories of common bacterial diseases in pets and their drug resistance. The efficacy of regular antibiotics，functional nutrients，probiotics，and phage for the prevention and treatment of these bacterial diseases was also summarized and discussed. With the development of the society，the importance of pets in human life continues to increase，and more and more pet owners consult veterinarians because they are concerned about the behavioral problems of their pets. However，due to the lack of systematic understanding of dog and cat behavior by most veterinarians and clinical staff，it is difficult to convey the scientific concepts of dog and cat behavior. Meanwhile，inappropriate clinical operations and stressful environments can be one of the important factors that induce behavioral problems in dogs and cats. This article focused on the basic behavioral characteristics，learning，and the stress response in dogs and cats， and summarized the application of behavioral concepts in clinical diagnosis and treatment. We aim to increase the awareness in veterinarians and staff members of the stress in their dog and cat patients. Preliminary grading of dog and cat stress level and tailored schemes for management should be implemented. At the same time，learning of dogs and cats can be incorporated to encourage positive behaviors and reduce their stress during clinical visits.

With the great improvement of people's living standard，keeping pets has become a kind of fashion，natural behavior，give back their welfare improvements，so that human and dog can truly achieve harmonious coexistence and happiness. and the number of pet dogs has increased accordingly. The need to improve pet dogs behavior and reduce security problems has spurred the rapid development of the pet training industry. This paper introduces the modern theoretical system of dog training after more than one hundred years of development，in order to provide theoretical basis and reference methods for pet training.Pavlov’s classical conditioning theory helps people understand dog behavior and the dogs can be trained scientifically. Thorndike’s Law of learning theory provides an operational theoretical basis for how to stimulate and inhibit dog behavior. Skinner proposed operant conditioning theory on the basis of the two predecessors’work，which became the theoretical foundation of modern dog training methods. Classical conditioning and operant conditioning theory complement each other，to achieve good dog training effect，and promote the gradual development of dog training method from traditional dog training method to positive training method.
