Abstract: Aromatic plant therapy has been widely used in the auxiliary treatment of human diseases. Correspondingly，it can be applied to pet dogs and cats，and further research is required to determine its true effects. By collecting research papers and case reports，this paper studied the development of aromatherapy，major active components of aromatic plants，the mechanism of function，and the application and prospects of aromatherapy in pet cats and dogs. Chemical composition and intake route of aromatic essential oil was explored. Categorized effects of aromatherapy and precautions of use were also included and analyzed through case studies. Collectively，the current review provides a reference for the development and application of aromatherapy in the pet industry in our country.

摘要： 芳香植物疗法在辅助治疗人类疾病方面已得到广泛运用，然而将其运用在宠物犬 猫疾病治疗上需要更进一步的研究以确定它的真实作用。本文通过收集论文资料以及真实案 例，从芳香疗法的发展史，芳香植物主要成分、作用机制以及芳香疗法在宠物猫犬上的运用和 前景三个方面进行综述。通过分析芳香精油的化学成分和摄入途径探究了它在宠物犬猫上的 运用方式。分类研究了芳香疗法对于犬和猫的作用特点以及使用时的注意事项。通过案例分 析其在临床运用上的正面疗效与不良影响，为芳香疗法在我国宠物行业的运用发展提供参考。
