Abstract: Intensice pond culture and“cultivate Hydrilla verticillata and breeding shrimp”are the two most typical culture models of macrobrachium rosenbergii in Guangdong province. This study was invetigate to comparative the effects of two cultrue molels on growth performance，body composition，muscle amino acid composition and economic benefit of M.rosenbergii. The results showed that the final body size，condiction factor and freshness of M. rosenbergii produced under the two cultrue models including intensice pond culture and“cultivate H. verticillata and breeding shrimp”had significant difference.The contents of crude protein and calcium composition in the whole body， essential amino acids，flavorable amino acids and total amino acids in the shrimp muscle under the“cultivate H.verticillata and breeding shrimp”model were significantly higher than those under the intensice pond model. The income，net profit，input􀆼output ratio and cost profit margin of“cultivate H. verticillata and breeding shrimp”model were obviously higher than that of the intensice pond model. These results indicated that the M. rosenbergii produced under the the“cultivate H. verticillata and breeding shrimp”model is more in line with the taste of producers and consumers，and it is suggested to adopt it in production practice and promote it. The results provided a reference for the selection of culture mode of M. rosenbergii.
