Abstract: This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary 1% inulin supplementation on growth，fecal score and nutrient apparent digestibility of British shorthair cats. Sixteen healthy adult British shorthair cats aged 1⁃2 years were randomly divided into 2 groups with 8 cat per group. Cats in the control group were fed a basal diet，and those in the experimental group were fed the basal diet supplemented with 1% inulin. The pre⁃feeding period was 7 days and the formal test period was 28 days. The results showed as follows：Compared with the control group，1） Dietary supplementation of 1% inulin had no significant effect on body weight and feed intake of cats（P>0.05）. 2） Dietary supplementation of 1% inulin significantly increased fecal water content and fecal score（P<0.05）. 3）Dietary supplementation of 1% inulin significantly increased the apparent digestibility of crude protein in cat diet（P<0.05）， and tended to increase the apparent digestibility of dry matter，organic matter，calcium and total phosphorus. In conclusion，dietary supplementation of 1% inulin has no significant effect on body weight and feed intake of cats，but can significantly improve fecal water content，fecal score and crude protein apparent digestibility.

摘要： 该试验旨在研究饲粮中添加1%菊粉对英国短毛猫生长、粪便评分和养分表观消化率的影响。试验选取16只1－2岁健康成年英国短毛猫，随机分为2组，每组8只猫。对照组饲喂基础饲粮，试验组饲喂基础饲粮+1%菊粉。预饲期7天，正式试验期28天。结果表明：与对照组相比，1）饲粮添加1%菊粉对猫试验期间的体重和采食量无显著影响（P＞0.05）。2）饲粮添加1%菊粉可以显著提升粪便水分和粪便评分（P＜0.05）。3）饲粮添加1%菊粉可以显著提高猫粮的粗蛋白表观消化率（P＜0.05），干物质、有机物、钙和总磷的表观消化率有升高的趋势。综上所述，饲粮中添加1%菊粉对猫的体重和采食量无显著影响，能显著提高粪便水分、粪便评分和粗蛋白表观消化率。
