Abstract: The purpose of this experiment was to study the effects of three plant extracts, soybean isoflavones, mulberry leaf flavonoids and mulberry leaf crude extract,on the growth performance, body composition and serum biochemical indexes of Litopenaeus vannamei. The basal diet(G0,control group)was supplemented with 400 mg/kg soybean isoflavone(G1),50 mg/kg mulberry leaf flavonoid(G2),and 300 mg/kg mulberry leaf crude extract(G3)to formulate experimental diets. A total of 480 Litopenaeus vannamei with an initial body weight of(1.80±0.02)g were randomly allocated into 4 groups with 3 replicates per group and 40 shrimps per replicate. The breeding test period was 60 days. The results showed that:1)There were no significant differences in final body weight, weight gain rate, survival rate, specific growth rate and food intake of Litopenaeus vannamei among all groups(P>0.05);the feed coefficient of Litopenaeus vannamei in G1,G2 and G3 groups was lower than that in G0 group, and that in G3 group was significantly lower than that in G0 group(P<0.05);2)There was no significant difference in crude protein, crude fat and water content of whole shrimp in each group(P>0.05),but the crude ash content of G2 group was significantly higher than that of G3 group(P<0.05);3)There was no significant difference in serum albumin,albumin/globulin, globulin, total protein, triglyceride, alanine aminotransferase, blood glucose, aspartate aminotransferase, cholesterol, high density lipoprotein cholesterol and low density lipoprotein cholesterol levels among the groups(P> 0.05);the serum urea content in G2 group was significantly lower than that of G0 group(P<0.05). In summary, the addition of 400 mg/kg soybean isoflavone,50 mg/kg mulberry leaf flavonoids and 300 mg/kg mulberry leaf crude extract to the feed could reduce feed coefficient, improve feed utilization rate, and lower serum urea content. Comprehensive evaluation, the application effect of mulberry leaf crude extract is the best. It provides a scientific basis for the application of plant extracts in Litopenaeus vannamei feed.
