Abstract: The current talent cultivation system in animal production programs in higher education still faces structural contradictions，such as the disjunction between“education and industry”and the separation of“research from application，”leading to a misalignment between talent development and industry needs. This paper analyzes the new characteristics of talent demands in the animal husbandry industry and examines the bottlenecks in existing talent cultivation models. Using the construction of the Industry-Academia-Research Integrated Practical Teaching Base at South China Agricultural University as a case study，it elaborates on specific measures implemented by the base， including the establishment of a“3.5 + 0.5”education model，the development of dual - qualified teachers，the restructuring of the curriculum system，and the creation of shared practical platforms. The study aims to provide practical paradigms for deepening industry􀆼education integration and innovating talent cultivation mechanisms.
