Research progress on GEM􀆼PA surface display system

摘要: GEM?PA 表面展示系统是由革兰氏阳性细菌增强基质(Gram positive Enhancer Ma? trix,GEM)与锚定蛋白(Protein Anchor,PA)组成,以GEM颗粒为展示核心,外源蛋白通过与 PA锚定蛋白的融合表达实现其在GEM颗粒表面的展示。由于GEM颗粒生物安全性高、结合外 源蛋白能力强、有自体佐剂效应等优点,以其为基础的GEM?PA表面展示系统近年来发展迅 速,成为表面展示系统新的研究热点之一。目前,该系统已应用于固定化酶、蛋白及病毒纯 化、新型疫苗的研制等多个领域。该文将对该系统的组成及应用研究进展进行综述。

Abstract: The GEM?PA surface display system is composed of gram?positive enhancer matrix(GEM)and protein anchor(PA). It uses GEM particles as its display core,and heterologous proteins are expressed by fusion with PA to achieve their display on the surface of GEM particles. GEM particles have many advantages such as high biosafety, ability to bind heterologous proteins,and autologous adjuvant effect. The GEM ?PA surface display system has been developed rapidly in recent years and becomes one of the new research hotspots of surface display system. At present, this system has been used in several fields including immobilizing enzymes,protein and virus purification,and development of novel vaccines. In this paper,the composition and applications of this system will be reviewed.
